We enjoyed lunch after puffin watching. Although pricey, just as everything in Iceland, we enjoyed our meal and service.

Icelandic soul food. We had some of the best food we’ve ever had here at Hofnin. The restaurant came to us as a recommendation from a friend. We went there first time and tried the lamb shank and fish & chips. So good we had to come back another night. Tried the fish off the day and fish and chips again, of course. We will be dreaming of this food and can’t wait to return to Reykjavik again just for this!

At the risk of sounding like a snooty tourist, it felt a bit pretentious. They give you way, way, WAY too much silverware and cups. I swear I had at least two of each kind and three cups of varying sizes. Made for a cramped table with how many people were in our group. The cured reindeer had me scratching my head. These tiny bits are the meat? Figured I could've just had a run-of-the-mill salad at this rate. The cod was beautiful, though only serving it with like three shrimp was a confusing choice. They do that thing that bothers me too where they stack the foods on top of each other. I get it's for presentation, but it just made it more annoying to enjoy. The dessert was divine. Honestly surprised this is the first I saw a lava cake since I've been on this big trip.

We stopped at Höfnin Restaurant Höfnin veitingarstaður for our farewell dinner. It was a great meal. We were seated upstairs and had a great view of the harbor. The food was amazing and the staff was very friendly. This would be a great place to visit and sit outsid when it is nice out.
