Don't miss happy hour from 16:00 to 19:00 - it's
Kaldi bar sprung naturally from the Kaldi brewery in 2011 and has since then served the four Kaldi beers on tap, including the very popular unfiltered Kaldi, as well as a variety of other beers. The Kaldi concept is rather recent and centers on brewing an Icelandic beer according to Czech tradition. They have light pub food as well such as pizza and sandwhiches.
The bar is located very centrally on Laugavegur, the high street, and yet it has a relaxed local quality. (Please note, though, that the entrance to the bar is on Klapparstígur). You can sit on the comfy couches or try your hand at the piano - but if you do a lousy job somebody will be sure to tell you about it!
It's not roomy but still cozy and the staff are personal and friendly, and the music is quiet enough that you can talk with your friends. You're likely to see the artsy-, student-y type hanging out here at happy hour, and lots of locals stop by after work.
