Directions to Le Bistro
Le Bistro is a genuine French bistro in the heart of Reykjavik city center. They describe themselves as 'a love story which started enticing Icelanders in 2013, with real French food served on check tablecloths, and everything which makes Le Bistro into a little Paris in the heart of Reykjavik'
The restaurant serves all the French bistro classics - from duck to snails to quiche to paté - of course with an Icelandic twist, apparent in such dishes as the unique whale tartare, and international influence, as seen in their salmon burger with bérnaise sauce. One of their specialties is the varied selection of fondue and raclette courses, and of course they take great pride in their selection of wines. In the weekend, stop by for their luxurious brunch between 9-16 for a leisurely French afternoon.
The decor is authentic French bistro style - cozy and quirky - and the baguettes in baskets, smoked sausages hanging above the bar and assorted paraphernalia give the place that certain je ne sais quai of a genuine French eatery.
