The Flybus transfer service has been successfully operated by Reykjavik Excursions for over 30 years. Reykjavik excursions was founded in 1968 and has since then been the leading organizer of day tours in Iceland. The Flybus in Iceland is by far the cheapest way to travel between Keflavik Airport and Reykjavik city. You can purchase tickets for the Flybus on their webpage, www.flybus.is, by using your credit card, at the airport or the BSI bus terminal. If you buy a ticket online, you will receive a PDF document with your tickets along with an overview of what you bought when your purchase is completed. As long as you have a ticket in your hand you will be able to board the bus directly.
The Flybus operates in connection with all arriving and departing flights at Keflavik Airport and your seat is always guaranteed. You never need to worry about waiting for too long because the Flybus departs from the airport 35-40 minutes after each flight arrival and the busses are located right outside the terminal building. With a Fly Bus Plus ticket you can catch a hotel shuttle that drives between the major hotels and guesthouses in Reykjavik. Total duration of the transfer is 50 - 75 minutes depending on the location of your hotel.
The Flybus departs from BSI bus terminal in Reykjavik 2 1/2 hour before each flight departure from Keflavik Airport to ensure that you have plenty of time to check in and and walk through the Duty Free shops. It doesn't matter if you are arriving late at night or your flight is delayed, the Flybus will always be there waiting for you.
Flybus offers special discount fares for children accompanied by adults. Children from 0-11 years ride the bus free of charge and children from 12-15 years get a 50% discount. There is WIFI on all the buses. If you need to contact the Flybus for whatever reason, they offer 24/7 customer service via phone; +354 580 5400, or you can send an e-mail to main@re.is.
