Guided Tours:
Glacier Walks: These centre around three main hubs, Reykjavík, Sólheimajökull or Skaftafell. From the Reykjavík center you can take a number of walks on Langjökull, Eyjafjallajökull, or Mýrdalsjökull glaciers. On Sólheimajökull, you can take the 'Blue Ice Adventure' tour with crampons (spiked shoes) and ice-axes. From the Skaftafell base in the east, you can take a two- or four hour tour of Svínafellsjökull which is a part of Vatnajökull glacier, the biggest ice cap in Europe.
Ice Climbing Tours: These differ from the glacier walks in that they involve actually climbing ice vertically, rather than walking on top of it. The tours are adjustable to any skill level, include instruction in how to use the equipment, and take about 4 hours.
Hiking Tours: These cover, among others, the magnificent Fimmvörðuháls volcanic mountains, and a tour that explores a unique lava cave in the Hengill volcano area.
Running Tours: These range from one day up to several days of jogging or sprinting across the wilderness of Iceland.
Alpine Skiing Tours: These feature several options each in Greenland or in the mountains of the Icelandic north. You can cross country ski either on Vatnajökull, over the barren Sprengisandur area north-west of Vatnajökull, over Landmannalaugar in the winter, or in the backcountry in Greenland.
Backpacking Tours: From the wilderness around Vatnajökull in the east, to the north where you can go a variety of routes like from Ásbyrgi to Mývatn or across to the from Eldgjá to Vík on the southern coast. Combine all these tours for a 31-day coast-to-coast traverse! There are also several tours backpacking, as well as several Trekking Tours in the best back country of Greenland.
Super Jeep: Tours are also available on Land Rover Defenders, Nissan Patrols and Toyota Land Cruisers, specially outfitted for driving off-road and on glaciers.
With this vast array of tours of different lengths for different skill levels and interests, you are sure to find something that appeals to you, if not they can arrange a private tour so you can plan exactly where you want to go.
